"I LOVE TO WORK WITH DIFFERENT MATERIALS TO SENSITIZE ME AND THE OTHERS"
After finishing her goldsmith education jewellery designer Maren Düsel studied Applied Art and Design at the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf. By working with a wide range of different materials and exploring various working techniques, the designer has developed her very own formal language and design aesthetics. A central aspect of her work is the combination of different materials. With a minimalistic formal language and striking material contrasts of the pieces the designer produces an efficient and bold design. The use of contrasting materials evokes a tension within the piece of jewellery, emphasizing its features and creating visual and haptic curiosity for the beholder. Further the creator and the customer get sensitized for the new way of utilization of new or known materials within the jewellery pieces.
